pinjore

Yadavavendra Garden or Pinjore Garden is located in Pinjore. Built by the rulers of the Patiala dynasty, this garden looks like the Mughal style. It was built during the reign of Aurangzeb in the 17th century. Yadavavendra Garden is dedicated to Maharaja Yadavavendra Singh of Patiala. It is believed that the Yadavvendra Garden is the oldest and beautiful garden of North India.

There are beautiful fountains with rooms and restaurants that are dedicated to travelers. Chandigarh is at 22 km distance from Yadavvendra Garden. There are many roofs in this garden and in the middle of this, there is a palace built in the Rajasthan-Mughal style. The castle situated on its first roof is connected to the Sheeshmahal and the air mahal. Its main entrance opens on this terrace. The second roof is covered with colored marbles while the third roof is the garden of trees, flowers, and fruits. The waterfront is located on the next roof with fountains, where there is also a platform to relax. From this, tree and fountains are present on the next roof, while the last roof has an open-air theater in the shape of a disc. A zoo is also located along this garden. There is also a temple and an open museum in this complex, in which there is a good lighting system and which are well connected to the proper roads. Heritage Train is a new idea in the premises that goes through the entire garden and monuments. It is located near the Kaushalya and Jhajjar rivers, which are the tributaries of the Ghaggar river.
